Grief And Loss Group in Oregon

This group is for adults who have experienced the death of a friend or family member and are having difficulty coping with the loss.

Group Overview:

This 8-week virtual group focuses on developing methods and coping skills to move through the depression, sadness and anxiety that the death of a loved one brings. It utilizes a CBT approach to enhance understanding the grief process for the purpose of helping individuals accept and move through grief.

The group will cover learning about different types of grief, changing the misconceptions of grief, how it effects physical and mental functioning, processing the emotions of grief, how to cope with holidays and special events. It will also cover the use of self-care and changing negative thinking to assist in healing grief.

Participants: Adults 18+ who are Oregon residents

Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted

Teresa has been a Licensed professional Counselor since 2017. She graduated from Multnomah University with a Masters in Counseling.

Virtual sessions on Tuesdays from 4 to 5 p.m., starting April 7 and ending May 26, 2026
